Savera's second foreign production plant begins operations. Savera China - Beijing is created as a joint venture with a majority Savera capital and two local partners: Shougang machinery Electric Co. Ltd., member of the SHOUGANG Group and the China Institute of Building Mechanization. The goal for this joint venture is the manufacturing and marketing of guides and other lift components (Ride system) in China and Asia.
Savera opens a Representative Office in the city of Shanghai. Its initial aim is to develop the Group´s strategy for the Asia-Pacific region and to become the origin of a Service Center for the customers in the area. |

| Launching of Savera Germany, a joint venture with a majority Savera capital formed with the German group Hoesch, a subsidiary of Thyssenkrupp. The main activity of the company is custom manufacturing and supply of components to its customers, both to multinationals as well as to small and mid-sized companies, in Central Europe. |

After creating the
production plant in Beijing and opening a sales office in Shanghai, Savera
establishes a Strategic Alliance with Narushima Corporation, a Japanese
manufacturer of elevator components, and sets up a joint warehouse in
Tokyo, from which to distribute the products of both companies. |

| Savera Spain - Épila starts operations in Zaragoza. With it, the Traveller Division (lift cars, counterweights and other associated elements) is born. Subsequently, the Traction Division (motors, mainly MRL) is also introduced. |

Savera takes over Corus Guide Rails Systems (formerly British Guide Rails), an important competitor and member of the Corus group.
As a result of this acquisition, a strategic alliance is established with AFD Industries Inc., one of the leading distributors of elevator components in the United States, which has a full network of logistics centres throughout the US. |

| Continuing
with its expansion policy in the Asian market, Savera sets up a new production
plant in China –Savera China - Shangwu, a mixed company with a
majority Savera capital– with the leading guide manufacturer in
China and third largest in the world, “Suzhou Shangwu Elevator & Sidetrack
Co. Ltd.”, based in the province of Jiangsu (70 kilometres from
Shanghai.) This centre geographically complements Savera’s Beijing
plant, consolidating the group’s regional and world leadership. |

| Savera sets up a Joint Venture, Savera India, in Mumbai. With the launch of this first plant in the Asian country, the Group corroborates its commitment and bet on the Asian markets where rapid growth is expected in the coming years. |

An agreement is reached for the acquisition of a controlling interest in Zhejiang Hitone Steel Product, which offers rolled profiles for elevator guide rails and other products and is based in the area of Shanghai. Through this acquisition, Savera achieves the integration of its production processes enabling it to guarantee better quality and service to its customers. This allows the Group to reinforce its strategical position in China. |
